Study Abroad
In recent years, TOL has developed close cooperation with Hong Kong Baptist University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, offering short-term study abroad opportunities for hundreds of students. We have also arranged briefing sessions for the University of Georgia’s course in Prague on travel writing and have worked in the past on a successful reporting project with the University of California, Berkeley. In the summer of 2015, we were proud to welcome our first group of students from mainland China, from the prestigious Shanghai International Studies University (SISU).

At TOL we believe in close, personalized attention to each student, and instructors provide individualized assistance and guidance for every participant as they pitch, develop, report, and write their stories. Courses are led by top-notch journalists working for either international (BBC, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, AP, NPR,The Economist, The New York Times) or Czech media.
Each study package includes accommodation in a three or four-star hotel in the heart of Prague, breakfast, welcome and farewell dinners, public transportation tickets for the duration of the program, and admission to cultural events.
Our tailored courses are designed specially to meet your student’s academic objectives. They can be held at any time of the year and provide the flexibility of combining local media visits, educational excursions, an immersion course in Czech, and a cultural program.
Let TOL make studying abroad as simple as it can be, and let us take care of everything for you.
