Introduction to Travel Journalism

For the second time, TOL provided a team of experienced journalists to provide one-on-one coaching to students from the University of Georgia, this time in May 2014. The students were in Prague for a three-week-long course on travel journalism during which they reported, wrote, or produced one, in-depth travel story and one 36-hours-in-Prague advice story, both in any format they chose: writing, photography, audio, or video.

TOL editors and other Prague-based journalists met with the students toward the beginning of their stay to discuss their story topics and provide tips on different angles to pursue as well as contacts for possible sources.
