The online workshop “Bridging Divides: Mastering Engagement with Hard-to-Reach Audiences in Polarised Societies” convened on June 1st was marked by a strong turnout and an enthusiastic response from media professionals across the Western Balkans. Expert speakers Zoltán Sipos and Anneleen Ophoff delivered enriching talks on fostering trust with challenging audiences and the use of the “Complicating the Narratives” approach in reporting within polarised societies, respectively.

The event’s positive feedback, particularly the expressed interest to delve deeper into the topics discussed, has spurred us at Transitions and SEENPM to plan an in-person follow-up event in one of the Western Balkan countries later this year.
