Special Workshop Invitation
We are proud to announce that the conference will be preceded by a workshop, which is open to all participants free of charge upon registration (via email to cerna@keynote.cz) and will take place prior to the opening event on 20 November 2014. Exact time and location to be announced.
The London School of Economics (LSE) Media Policy Project invites you to a pre-conference workshop “Impacting EU Media Policy.” Dr. Damian Tambini and Dr. Sally Broughton Micova of the LSE Media Policy Project will host a discussion on the upcoming revisions to the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, the issue of media pluralism, and the independence of regulatory authorities – all of which will be on the agenda of the incoming European Commission. More voices, evidence and ideas from new member states and candidate countries are needed to advance debates about these important media policy issues. In preparation for a larger event being organised with the Commission for next year in which you will be invited to participate, this event will include short expert briefings on the key policy questions on the table followed by a discussion of research needs and potential contributions from your recent and current work – whether it be related to audiences, media business, or formats.
