Transitions: Going on Assignment in Prague video #solutionsjournalism
We were very pleased this past summer to host a contingent of six undergraduate and graduate journalism and electronic media students from the University of Tennessee. Two of them stayed on for internships at Transitions, writing articles for our online magazine. A big thanks to Professor Sam Swan for facilitating the participation of such a strong, active group. And we appreciate that the students enjoyed their time with us. As the article stated:
The response from the students has been incredibly positive; although they experienced some culture shock, the students agreed that it was a truly valuable experience to learn to navigate the media environment in a non-English-speaking country. Jeremy Druker is Transitions‘ executive director.
“It forced us to go out and meet people, and experience things that we probably wouldn’t have experienced had we not been doing a story on them,” said one of them, Alison Woodall.
