Richard Allen Greene
Richard Allen Greene started his journalism career at the Prague Post in the 1990s covering President Vaclav Havel, politics, arts and culture. Since then he has reported for the BBC from London and Washington, D.C., the New York Times and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty from Azerbaijan, and Italy, South Africa and Ukraine for CNN. He was also the first web editor at Politico. After more than a decade covering politics and religion for the BBC and then CNN, he became CNN’s Data Editor in 2014. He now works with journalists and designers to visualize and explain numbers in the news, from opinion polling and election results to refugee flows and soccer scandals.
