“I am one of the two fellows selected by Jeremy Druker and Transitions to participate in this year's Foreign Correspondents Workshop. I have just returned to Hamburg, Germany, the city I grew up in. The past nine days have left me more eager than ever to work as a foreign correspondent. This dream has already taken me to the United States, to Boulder, Colorado, where I’ve lived for the past two years and where I will return soon, to reach for even greater heights. I want to sincerely thank you for that. It is a great honor, and an even greater challenge, to follow in the footsteps of genuine trailblazers such as Michael T. Kaufman, and many others who work as frontline foreign correspondents, such as the speakers we encountered during the last days of the training.
