CEO, ČTK (Czech News Agency) A journalist since the year 1980, he has been close to everything that has affected communication in the last 40 years. He was not only close to successful projects, but also had an opportunity to learn from lot of false starts and false expectations in the area of media. He was also a correspondent for the Czech News Agency (ČTK) in India, later in the UN and in the US, and since 2001 he had been the correspondent in the United Kingdom. He is a co-author of the Principles of Making Agency News, which is usually named as the Bible of the Czech News Agency. He was the founder of the first news websites in the Czech Republic and between 1999 and 2001 was also the first Director of the very successful internet division of the ČTK. He was the author of the first ČTK video-report and the author of the Principles of Making Video-report. Since 2008, he directed full integration of multimedia news agencies and made some important changes in reactions of these agencies to requirements of today’s both media and non-media clients. He was for several years the lecturer of the course Using Social Media by Companies. He is already, for the second time, a Board member of the EANA (European Alliance of News Agencies), where he helps to solve the needs of smaller agencies, but he also solves huge and important problems like copyright infringement. Together with his colleague, Stanislav Mundl, he wrote two books about the role of media in the international politics.
